Maria Eva Montes, 76, passed away on June 26, 2024 in San Antonio, Texas. Born on 11/07/1947, she was the daughter of late Gouboldo Gilbert and Agapita Vega.  Sister of Olga Saez, late Uvalda Vega, late Adam Vega, late Lucy Calvillo and John Vega. Eva was the Loving wife of late Jose Montes. Beloved mother of Lucy Rivera, late Jose Montes Jr., Ricardo Montes (Juana) and Beatriz Carrera. Cherished Grandmother to Carina Salgado(Alfredo), Gilbert Rivera(Jessica), Yasenia Rivera, Josefina Perez, Angel Perez, Jose Montes(Bianca), Rudy Montes(Abigail), Joel Montes, Randy Montes, Jacob Montes(Lorena), Nicole Montes, Janice Montes, Martin Montes, Annalisa Montes, Ricky Montes (Julie), Savannah Montes, Marcellina Montes, Adrian Carerra, Johnnay Avelar, Dominic Galan, Angel Herrera, and Great- Grandmother to 29. A Funeral service to honor Eva’s life will be held at Logan Square Funeral Home on Friday, 07/05/2024. Visitation hours are from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
