*************************

Steven Robert Kraska was born March 2nd, 1992 in Williamsville, New York. Steve grew up in Buffalo, New York with his mother Marjorie Kraska-Bishop-Bowers and step father, Michael W. Bishop. He was a role model and older brother to Midge and Andrew Bishop. Steve proved he was destined for greatness early in life when he was promoted to first grade, skipping kindergarten because he was already able to read. Later on, he became valedictorian at Bishop Timon St. Jude High School and attended Notre Dame with an excellent scholarship and graduated summa cum laude in 2013. Steve found his passion for fitness at Notre Dame and when he moved to Chicago, he discovered his love for yoga.

He had a passion for pushing himself past every preconceived limit, whether it was placed on him by himself or by someone else. Most recently, he proved to everyone that thirty was the perfect age to become a confident cyclist. (Thanks for the pressure, Best Man Ryan.) Steve put his all into every aspect of his life. Over the past 8 years, Steve worked avidly at Pariveda Solutions and rose from consultant to Principal. Steve choreographed yoga and fitness sequences with intention to perfectly curated playlists at Zen Yoga Garage for the last 4 years. He worked tirelessly on his passion project, Dance Breakers, where he motivated his siblings and best friends to create and test a vibrant strategy game (coming soon)!

Steve leaves behind his wife, Cierra Burton, and their dog Zion Daffodil Burton Kraska. Steve passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 3:45am from a stroke after a week in the hospital where he proved his heart is indeed the strongest. He was surrounded by his loved ones and supported by his Notre Dame, Pariveda, and Zen Yoga Garage communities. Steve’s contagious energy, unmatched motivation, passion for living every moment of life to its fullest potential, and his radiant purple vibration is left with us all. Steve’s last gift to this world was being an organ donor with Gift of Hope. His life and joy will continue on in others.
